HW #1
Absolute Individuals...what an interesting term. I feel as if that mean can mean a number of things. It could mean your yourself and only you can be yourself, or it could mean that as a person, we are all unique and no one else can be like us. It could possibly mean the two examples I just used and I believe it does. To be an "absolute individual" Banach explains that it means that as people each person feels a different way and views things differently then the next person. No one will be able to feel exactly how the next person feels and no one will be able to see what the next person sees. For all we know I am typing on a white computer but to someone else the computer may look brown and I would never know. For all we know whenever I drink orange juice, someone may view it as apple juice. Those are just a couple of examples so people can see where I am coming from. Banach also states that we are all alone and that in itself can be true, but I personally don't agree with that. I don't think we are all alone because if there is a feeling that people do share, it would be love and everyone feels love the same way, very heartwarming and makes you warm and fuzzy and it just feels good overall. Everyone wants to be loved, thats the one definite feeling we share.
